The U.S. and Britan use different crochet terminology for stitches that is similar enough to be familiar but different enough to be confusing as hell. Here's a chart to help you figure out what to do - make sure you check to see which terminology is used in the pattern first! (We're not sure which system the Canadians use, so if you're from the Great Land of Canadia, please weigh in.)
