it was a suprise for the s.o. on valentine's day. it was hard to keep it a suprise, though, because i needed his help to cut the stupid hanger. damn tendonitis! he kept asking why i wanted a hanger cut up, and i finally told him it was because i needed metal sticks for the voodoo doll i was making of him... he quit asking after that.

There has been a long-standing argument between me and the s.o., which goes something like this...
s.o.: i need a chainsaw.
me: you don't need a chainsaw.
s.o.: yes i do!
me: why do you need a chainsaw?
s.o.: so i can cut things down.
me: what kind of things?
s.o.: trees and stuff.
me: you'll cut your arm off, and we can't afford that.
s.o.: but i could also cut trees and stuff.
so for valentine's day, i made him the chainsaw from the splitter pattern page. i used rhss because i'm cheap and we were broke. i used the exact same colors as the one in the example pics, because i happened to have those colors on hand, and i couldn't think of any other colors (that i also had on hand) that would look as good. he totally loved it. it went really well with the thong i crocheted for him, but he wouldn't let me take pictures of that...

pumpkin head - my s.o. saw your pic, and is now demanding that i learn to knit just so i can make him the exact same hat. not sure if i should thank you or curse you at this point....
