I'm not going to show anybody my angst journals, they're all for me. But I used to represent some scrapbooking lines, and I've still got some good stuff. Not cutesy at all. Want it? I've even used some of it to put together a small book about all of my dead grandparents. Oh, and there's always Asta Arts. She does some great stamps. A lot of tattoo art.
Gotta say, Mothra has really come through for dark crafting. I'm stocking up on her bat garland and food labels. I found 'em while shopping for my sister's poisonous plant collection (for school!):

Oooh, I KNOW! Isn't it awful? Tons of Halloween goodies to chose from and the only good stuff comes from the Great Satan Herself.
Of course, I'm waiting until Halloween passes to run back to the local Big Box Craft Store and see if I can score some deeply discounted invitations from Her line.
My friends and I have had this same conversation several times over. Some of the more organized in my group have started making their own stuff which is rather uncute. I keep thinking about it, and I keep buying anything that I can find (art stores are usually better sources then craft stores), but all of my photos are still precariously balanced in large and unstable boxes and there doesn't seem to be anything to cause this to change in the near or mid future.
This reminds me of an episode of Dead Like Me when George as Millie unwittingly joins the scrapbooking club at her day job. She creates a beautifully dark book with old photos of people long since dead and her handling of it is wonderful. The group, however, treat her book as a "beginner's mistake" photo album and pat her on the head. I feel her pain; it's not cute enough and it's just too "artsy" for some. bleh
Stamps are a good place to look for non-cutesy decorations. There are some great flourishes, plants, figures, textures, and whatnot available now. The black and white xmas decor trend is also really helpful. Go check out the ornaments, wrapping paper, ribbons, anything really.
I understand how you feel there! I really dislike all the cutesy frill crap at craft stores. I did find the "rockstar" mat stacks and such which has pretty neat skulls paper.
