(I may have botched that
Japanese, feel free to let me know.)
I found this link on another blog I read and felt the need to pass it along. I spent several years living in South Korea and was always enamored with the vivid green of the rice paddies and the way the wind rippled across them (think "amber waves of grain", but intensely green instead). So imagine my pleasure this morning when I found that some farmers in Japan have been using different kinds of rice plants to make art in their paddies. Simply exquisite and, as I imagine the wind gently swirling the stalks, weirdly beautiful.
