for Ripe Begin: Cast on desired number of sts (multiple of 4+2).
Right Slant: 1: (Color A) k2, [sl 2, yo, k2tog] repeat to
last 4 sts, sl 2, k2 Left Slant: 1: (Color A) k2, [sl 2, ssk, yo] repeat to last
4 sts, sl 2, k2 End: Alternate right and left slant sections until
desired length has been reached. (Example knit to 70".) Finishing: Single crochet a border around the scarf in Color A, 1 crochet stitch to each knit stitch (horizontally) or row (vertically), except where the direction changes.
