Skull Lariat

I wanted a necklace that I could throw on in a second to head out to my glamorous life as a crafting rock star. Because I am, you know. Don’t question it. It’s true.

Please love me.

To make skull charms:

1. Thread a single skull bead onto a head pin, make loop and trim excess wire from pin.

2. Repeat 3 more times for a total of 4 skull charms.

To make lariat:

1. Thread approximately 2 yards of beading thread onto needle.

2. Thread 10 seed beads onto needle, then slip 2 skull charms onto beads. Secure by repeating the path of the needle through the first 10 seed beads again. This creates a loop for the skull charms to hang from.

3. String 10 seed beads, then one skull bead

4. String 20 seed beads, then one skull bead. 5. [String 20 seed beads, then one large black bead] a total of 5 times.

6. Continue stringing only seed beads until the strung length excluding charms is approximately 4.5'.

7. Reverse sequence of steps 2-5 (or 5-2 as it would be).

8. Finish off by running thread through the final loop of seed beads a few times, tying knots.
