Place 15 sts on one needle and remaining 12 sts on a stitch holder. You are dividing for an open mouth, so make sure that this is where you want the top and bottom of the mouth to go. You will now be working the 15 sts on the needles.

Place these 18 sts on holder to be grafted.
Put remaining 12 sts back on a needle.

Graft remaining sts with the 18 sts on the holder. Attach eyes and stuff head, then sew the opening in the back of the mouth closed. Optionally, you can needlefelt eyes during finishing, which is what I did.

BO all stitches and stuff with fiberfill.

Sew legs onto body.

Back Legs, Part 1: (make two)

CO 20 stitches.

Work 10 rows of stockinette stitch ending with WS.

BO 9 sts, K to end.

Purl one row.

Next row: K2tog then K to end.

Work 10 rows of stockinette stitch and bind off.

Back Legs, Part 2: (make two)

CO 20 stitches.

Work 11 rows of stockinette stitch, ending with RS.

BO 9 sts, P to end.

Knit one row.

Next row: P2tog then P to end.

Work 10 rows of stockinette stitch and bind off.

Finishing:

Sew legs together and stuff before finishing sewing them up. Attach legs and head to body of rabbit. Attach ears to head. Add a pom-pom tail to end (I was lazy and bought one) and embellish with red roving, food coloring, or however you feel like. Sample uses red wool roving needlefelted to the acrylic body. This worked surprisingly well. Teeth were needlefelted as well. Be creative.
